Cst. Douglas Scott, 20, was killed about 11.00 PM monday,
november 5th 2007, while answering to a drunk-driving call
in Kimmirut, Baffin Island.
Cst. Scott was last heard at 11.02 when he called in to
confirm he was following up the call. Shortly thereafter,
RCMP's "V" division telecoms attempted to contact
Const. Scott but received no response. At 11.31, Kimmirut'
other constable was told by other residents that the impaired
driver had crashed in a house. Uppon arrival on the scene,
it was found that Cst. Scott has been shot at 11.45 PM.
Constable Scott was the eldest of three brothers and his
uncle, Chris Scott, is a staff sergeant with Kingston city
police. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Maria.

Constable Worden was dispatched to a complaint as a result
of a call for assistance from Hay River.
Radio
contact with Constable Worden was maintained up to the point
where he advised he intended to enter an address in Hay
River. Contact was lost and shortly thereafter additional
Hay River Detachment members were dispatched to the scene.
Constable
Worden was located in a wooded area outside the home and
transported immediately to Hay River Hospital, where he
was pronounced dead.
A suspect has been identified.

Constable Plunkett was struck by a car and dragged while performing undercover surveillance during an airbag theft investigation.
Constable Plunkett was pinned between the car's open door and a tree, could not get away and was dragged onto a nearby lawn. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he soon died from his injuries.
A 19 yr. old suspect has been apprehended.
Constable Plunkett was a 22 year veteran of the York Regional Police Service. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Laval Sgt.-Det. Daniel Tessier was shot dead in a drug bust on Friday, March 2/07.
Tessier was shot in the head during a pre-dawn raid in the South Shore of Montreal suburb of Brossard on Friday March 2, 2007 where Laval police were executing search warrants to break up what they say was a cocaine trafficking ring.
Tessier's partner, Const. Stéphane Forbes, was shot in the arm but is in stable condition.
A civilian was also shot during the incident, and police arrested a man and a woman who were in the home at the time.
About 30 police officers were carrying out eight search warrants in Laval and Brossard when the shooting occurred.
Tessier, Forbes and at least four other officers had entered a house on Rimouski Street in Brossard just after 5 a.m. ET when the shots rang out. Both officers and the civilian were rushed to hospital in ambulances.
Tessier leaves behind his wife, who is also a police officer, and his two daughters, aged 10 and 12.

Wildlife Protection Officer Richard Cayouette died when his partner collided with him while loading his snowmobile onto his truck on Thursday March 1st, 07 at around 3 pm.
The accident occured at kilometer 85 of Chemin Barette south, located at one hour north of Chapais.
Cayouette was transported by helicopter to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Cayouettes partner was also airlifted to hospital where he was treated for shock.
Cayouette had been a wildlife Protection Officer for 9 years and had worked with the same partner for 5 years.
Cayouette is survived by two daughters aged 8 and 11 years.
